You are all welcome to come see the play of the century put on by the town of Three Hills...My Fair Lady.
I am the bossy housekeeper and my sister is Eliza.
So my days have consisted of waking up and singing the silly songs to my nephews at breakfast, going to work at the hospital and then going to play practice (and now play performance) for the remainder of the afternoon. Monday we had a 10 hour rehearsal and Tuesday another 5/6 hour rehearsal....wednesday nite was opening nite....in which I heard Dr Dan laughing in the FRONT row and promptly lost all train of thought and butchered my first scene (the one where I actually have lines other than Yes, sir) BAHHHHHHHHHHHH
Yesterday went much better for myself unfortunately the music scenes kind of fell flat...or sharp...they weren't on key.
So tonight we are hoping to yet iron out more kinks....hopefully one performance at least will go well for all...
Anyway, it is fun now that we are performing, two months of practice and owndering if it was going to come together-not so fun-
Yesterday Andi puked after the show-not so fun-so I helped with the kids this morning and am now off to subway to feed the hungry before I get my hair shilached to my scalp in a 'o so comfortable' and oddly disturbing way...
Last nite one of the ladies tripped right before her big entrance to one of the scenes-hilarious! and the other nite a man forgot his que and had completely changed out of costume before realizing he was late for the scene...which I was in...nerve wracking...Mr Higgin's ad libed for a good ten minutes while the man got dressed-he forgot to zip his fly and drew quite the attention from the audience-one hates to be laughed at instead of with.....but funny none the less.
more funnies to come...it's dinner theater tonight I think...what fun, roast beef and your neighbors prancing around in costumes...should make for an entertaining evening.

"and we all fall down"
So I finally got three days off in a row! Yeah! but before I can relax they involve saying good-bye to my parents for yet another prolonged period of time, and also the new car...yup Dad spent 4,ooo on a new to us car and then decided I needed to celebrate by taking it to visit my cousin and her kids...
well, the battery lite started coming up and I called and left a message about this. Not impressed with the 2 day old (to me) car. Sure enough 45 minute out of three hills it dies at a major intersection with just me inside...before you start feeling for me you must know that I reamed out my parents on the cell as I was looking at the lights flashing, the speedometer stop working and finally the car beeping at me incessantly; for buying the car, for having me, and basically for the sky falling on my head yesterday...yup, as the age old song goes, ring around the rosie, pockets full of posie, hush, hush...we all fall down...which later in life you find out means the black plague, 1/3rd of Europe dying and we teach it to our kids and watch them sing and dance thru a death chant. Who does that? Yesterday, the day of death (for the car) we all fell down...
well, needless to say, we had to have many 'discussions' about how everyone was handling the whole car dying right after being bought and mum and dad leaving and everyone knowing that I am NOT dealing with old cars again.
So, Dad got to 'talk' with the lady that towed him back to three hills, and I got to apologize profusely for having a tantrum on mum the day after mother's day,,,(you know you earn your title when...) and we all got home and I spent 3 hours at play practice and finally the day ended.
Today I told Dad we aren't allowed to talk about anything that includes the words transition, or cars...he has been very gracious, Oh and a supporter called and decided she wants to take mum to Steve's graveside...my mums, I tell ya, she deserve a medal...oops she just pulled up gotta go...

the rain in spain stays mainly...plainly, a gong show...
I am in the local town play. We are doing My Fair lady and I am Mrs. Pearce the housekeeper...I am kinda excited about being made up into an old bitty...but what I'm not excited about right now is...the gong show that is play practice...it's like watching paint dry with how slow things are coming together. As well, i feel like an imbecile because I can't seem to get my lines, oh and I'm working 56 hours this week and trying to stay sane...bahhhhhhhh
I am officially a gong show.
Anyway, moving right along to events...it's mother's day and I have no idea what to do for my mum...my parents bought a toyota corola cause the blue beast finally died...oh and me and mums and dad were in it...on the freeway entrace in Red Deer...so 4 soduko games later, as well as being passed by cars that weren't broken and sitting in a farm equipment sales yard...Yase came and picked us up. Mums said it was a sign from God to get a car...and Dad started looking up at the sky for it to drop down to us but I think even he is starting to listen to the constant dripping that is me and went out and bought himself a drivable car...of course it has to meet certain requirements, it has to pass the church parking lot-must-be-the-missionaries'-car test as well as the price range (we prefer free but sometimes we actually spend some money on cars) and finally the important seems to be Japanese made...for some reason Dad thinks that they live forever...truth is, we have been thru quite a few Japanese made for life cars...it doesn't seem to be the tried and true we think, but we stick with what we know right?
anyway, evertime a car breaks down dad says we're making memories...to bad my head is getting cluttered with all the broken down cars...I need some other memories already!
I really need to think of something for mother's day....
