ok,
so for weather we are looking at a breezy 15 C with scattered showers and never ending hazy skies...could be worse, could be snow!
and for info in the latest real estate I am looking at a basement apartment this evening....AHHHHHHHHHHH baby steps to being a truly independant woman. Truly a long time in coming I think...but yes, there are no furnishings and I will be sleeping on the floor and eating on the floor and watching my laptop on the floor:) fun times:)
and in travel we have tickets to singapore in september...this is a much anticipated and potentially dastardly plan to foil school for one semester among other things....life is too much to grow up.
yes, finally the education awareness. School is imminent on the horizon and I am looking forward to another round of grades and dormatories...
in what's fit for your lifestyle, try the gym (pronounced jim) or better yet the hot tub which is empty tuesdays and thursdays so the perfect venue for one....me.
and in friendship. Facebook the new address book. connects up to people you haven't seen in years and who you would luv to see again. I am missing the midwives in my life like crazy-I know this because I start having dreams about meeting up and traveling the world...or just browsing westjet for flights to winnipeg!
obituaries, my winter blues and a swet lady named Leslie Cullum-whom I had the priviledge of knowing throughout a good part of life in three hills. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren whom she babysat for the last few years constantly.
weddings and engagement announcements...ha! try again next edition.

Coldplay...
I am in luv with his new songs...out of this world good. Also thanks to my friend Nathan who so nicely keeps me up on the latest and greatest on planet earth with regards to music. THe play is over and now I am looking forward to my bio 30 exam...for which I have not studied enough for...bah! I have been working like a mad woman and trying to get to study has dropped off the list of things to do..
I am terribly boring right now, I don't email that much and I have no life other than work so i really haven't had much to write about.
I got accepted to Mennonite University in Manitoba and should be going by january to study nursing. Kinda scary thought that I am heading back to the world of classes and being a learner again. Sometimes I feel like people can grow out of being learners, I am not the best learner either so having to improve my track record is also a big fear.
Went to a wedding shower for one of the ladies at work and won the toilet paper wedding dress award:) I luv playing funny games, and it also helps if I win too.
But basically this post is starting to feel like watching paint dry and I can't help but remember my auntie's immortal words, "reading blogs is the most boring activity on the planet" and thinking that she is utterly and completely right at this point. I mean who really does care if I brushed my teeth this morning or listed to Coldplay until 1am this morning....seriously, I feel like life is an accumulation of small events that make up a unique window into another persons soul...so for what it's worth and no matter how boring the scenery is, I don't care, it's my window and I can write that I brushed my teeth this morning on the worldwide web and someone will laugh or find it interesting (thats stretching it just a bit I think), maybe not you, or my auntie but someone will...maybe

My Fair Lady
You are all welcome to come see the play of the century put on by the town of Three Hills...My Fair Lady.
I am the bossy housekeeper and my sister is Eliza.
So my days have consisted of waking up and singing the silly songs to my nephews at breakfast, going to work at the hospital and then going to play practice (and now play performance) for the remainder of the afternoon. Monday we had a 10 hour rehearsal and Tuesday another 5/6 hour rehearsal....wednesday nite was opening nite....in which I heard Dr Dan laughing in the FRONT row and promptly lost all train of thought and butchered my first scene (the one where I actually have lines other than Yes, sir) BAHHHHHHHHHHHH
Yesterday went much better for myself unfortunately the music scenes kind of fell flat...or sharp...they weren't on key.
So tonight we are hoping to yet iron out more kinks....hopefully one performance at least will go well for all...
Anyway, it is fun now that we are performing, two months of practice and owndering if it was going to come together-not so fun-
Yesterday Andi puked after the show-not so fun-so I helped with the kids this morning and am now off to subway to feed the hungry before I get my hair shilached to my scalp in a 'o so comfortable' and oddly disturbing way...
Last nite one of the ladies tripped right before her big entrance to one of the scenes-hilarious! and the other nite a man forgot his que and had completely changed out of costume before realizing he was late for the scene...which I was in...nerve wracking...Mr Higgin's ad libed for a good ten minutes while the man got dressed-he forgot to zip his fly and drew quite the attention from the audience-one hates to be laughed at instead of with.....but funny none the less.
more funnies to come...it's dinner theater tonight I think...what fun, roast beef and your neighbors prancing around in costumes...should make for an entertaining evening.

"and we all fall down"
So I finally got three days off in a row! Yeah! but before I can relax they involve saying good-bye to my parents for yet another prolonged period of time, and also the new car...yup Dad spent 4,ooo on a new to us car and then decided I needed to celebrate by taking it to visit my cousin and her kids...
well, the battery lite started coming up and I called and left a message about this. Not impressed with the 2 day old (to me) car. Sure enough 45 minute out of three hills it dies at a major intersection with just me inside...before you start feeling for me you must know that I reamed out my parents on the cell as I was looking at the lights flashing, the speedometer stop working and finally the car beeping at me incessantly; for buying the car, for having me, and basically for the sky falling on my head yesterday...yup, as the age old song goes, ring around the rosie, pockets full of posie, hush, hush...we all fall down...which later in life you find out means the black plague, 1/3rd of Europe dying and we teach it to our kids and watch them sing and dance thru a death chant. Who does that? Yesterday, the day of death (for the car) we all fell down...
well, needless to say, we had to have many 'discussions' about how everyone was handling the whole car dying right after being bought and mum and dad leaving and everyone knowing that I am NOT dealing with old cars again.
So, Dad got to 'talk' with the lady that towed him back to three hills, and I got to apologize profusely for having a tantrum on mum the day after mother's day,,,(you know you earn your title when...) and we all got home and I spent 3 hours at play practice and finally the day ended.
Today I told Dad we aren't allowed to talk about anything that includes the words transition, or cars...he has been very gracious, Oh and a supporter called and decided she wants to take mum to Steve's graveside...my mums, I tell ya, she deserve a medal...oops she just pulled up gotta go...

the rain in spain stays mainly...plainly, a gong show...
I am in the local town play. We are doing My Fair lady and I am Mrs. Pearce the housekeeper...I am kinda excited about being made up into an old bitty...but what I'm not excited about right now is...the gong show that is play practice...it's like watching paint dry with how slow things are coming together. As well, i feel like an imbecile because I can't seem to get my lines, oh and I'm working 56 hours this week and trying to stay sane...bahhhhhhhh
I am officially a gong show.
Anyway, moving right along to events...it's mother's day and I have no idea what to do for my mum...my parents bought a toyota corola cause the blue beast finally died...oh and me and mums and dad were in it...on the freeway entrace in Red Deer...so 4 soduko games later, as well as being passed by cars that weren't broken and sitting in a farm equipment sales yard...Yase came and picked us up. Mums said it was a sign from God to get a car...and Dad started looking up at the sky for it to drop down to us but I think even he is starting to listen to the constant dripping that is me and went out and bought himself a drivable car...of course it has to meet certain requirements, it has to pass the church parking lot-must-be-the-missionaries'-car test as well as the price range (we prefer free but sometimes we actually spend some money on cars) and finally the important seems to be Japanese made...for some reason Dad thinks that they live forever...truth is, we have been thru quite a few Japanese made for life cars...it doesn't seem to be the tried and true we think, but we stick with what we know right?
anyway, evertime a car breaks down dad says we're making memories...to bad my head is getting cluttered with all the broken down cars...I need some other memories already!
I really need to think of something for mother's day....

parentals, prayer and other p's
I was going to talk about life but I think I'll just focus on prayer for a bit. When i was in the Philippines I used to just pray Jesus name during the births, there wasn't much time to say a bunch of things and no one could really understand eachother with the language barrier so i would just say Jesus name over and over in my head as I pictured the movements of the baby going thru the birth canal and saw the mother's pain and tiredness as she reached nearer to the end of labor. I kinda got into the habit of just not being able to express myself in a situation, i just had to call on Jesus name. It is kinda weird but I think I just grew uncomfortable with phrasing what i meant and how I felt and eventually I felt like I couldn't say anything at all. Not that i think praying Jesus name wasn't effective or meaningful, but I lapsed into this, attitude of well; He is Sovereign over it and will do what His will is in every matter so what am I to talk about. But as time went on i slowly realized that I wasn't saying much of anything to God. Circumstances, a wee bit of bitterness and some serious frustration had alittle influence on all this too...it's almost as if thru all my trying to help people less fortunate than myself, I came to see a much darker person inside of me. Not the helper I wanted to be but a kinda proud little fleshly human doing her Christ like duty out of fear. It wasn't pretty, i wondered how people ever actually help eachother, or do they simply use one another for their own need to be needed, important or special.
So back to praying, this thought process was kind of all going on but how do I tell God that what I see in this little part of the earth that I have influenced is mostly darkness and me adding my own baggage to the mess around me. I mean, I am no great light giver, and my motivations can certainly be second guessed in alot of cases. All the ideals of being this great helper, touching the poor with selfless love....come on, I could barely make it through a shift, then get on public transportation to the nearest starbucks. I don't know why I think of starbucks as the root of all evil, it was a big theraputic escape for me while I was in the phils though.
Well, the other month I attended a little dedication at an anglican church, where they pray other people's prayers...and after 6 months of not being able to pray to Jesus anything more than, Dear Jesus....
I prayed someone else's prayer for a little baby girl. I almost started crying at the front of the church, I mean the words were far more than i had considered for this little baby, but they somehow tied me to God and her by just speaking them. So I decided to go back to Psalms and pray David's prayers....it has been a good month of discovering that while I still don't know how to approach God with all the different paradox that is life, sometimes I can stand in someone elses footprint and still be heard. And it has also been comforting to hear some of the confusion and frustration that David went thru too.
So, I don't really know where I am going with this, but this lesson has been a very good one for me, my faith is not big enough to address God in every situation that I have had to face, but God is big enough to show grace where I have been much afraid. So I just want you all to pray today, use words, silly, simple small but true. Express yourself to the One who loves you.

Terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day...
IT was wednesday...but I'm still not over it. I had to go for training in a computer course in the middle of a blizzard and today I tried to apply some of my new found knowledge....apparently I'm dumb.
Anyway, mostly what was horrible about my day is that I realized I have major anger issues and I need to not get so angry about things...I need to be more the letting go person and not the...what I can't have it-fine-I'm just going to smack it silly or say bad words in my head...yup, I have anger issues...
anyway I think I didn't learn as much from my training cause I kept counting how many times my instructor said "dollars-to-donuts" and "you-really-have-to-hold-your-tongue-right"...
in the wise words of Judah Davis....I hate jobs...I hate computers, I hate details....
