You are all welcome to come see the play of the century put on by the town of Three Hills...My Fair Lady.
I am the bossy housekeeper and my sister is Eliza.
So my days have consisted of waking up and singing the silly songs to my nephews at breakfast, going to work at the hospital and then going to play practice (and now play performance) for the remainder of the afternoon. Monday we had a 10 hour rehearsal and Tuesday another 5/6 hour rehearsal....wednesday nite was opening nite....in which I heard Dr Dan laughing in the FRONT row and promptly lost all train of thought and butchered my first scene (the one where I actually have lines other than Yes, sir) BAHHHHHHHHHHHH
Yesterday went much better for myself unfortunately the music scenes kind of fell flat...or sharp...they weren't on key.
So tonight we are hoping to yet iron out more kinks....hopefully one performance at least will go well for all...
Anyway, it is fun now that we are performing, two months of practice and owndering if it was going to come together-not so fun-
Yesterday Andi puked after the show-not so fun-so I helped with the kids this morning and am now off to subway to feed the hungry before I get my hair shilached to my scalp in a 'o so comfortable' and oddly disturbing way...
Last nite one of the ladies tripped right before her big entrance to one of the scenes-hilarious! and the other nite a man forgot his que and had completely changed out of costume before realizing he was late for the scene...which I was in...nerve wracking...Mr Higgin's ad libed for a good ten minutes while the man got dressed-he forgot to zip his fly and drew quite the attention from the audience-one hates to be laughed at instead of with.....but funny none the less.
more funnies to come...it's dinner theater tonight I think...what fun, roast beef and your neighbors prancing around in costumes...should make for an entertaining evening.
